Multi Plumber (Brent)
Job Title: Multi-Trade Plumber
Location: Brent (North West London)
Sector: Social Housing – Reactive Maintenance
Job Purpose
To carry out plumbing and multi-trade maintenance works within occupied and void social housing properties, responding to reactive repair requests in a timely and professional manner. The role involves delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring tenant satisfaction and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Attend and complete reactive maintenance repairs across social housing properties

Carry out a wide range of plumbing works, including:

Leak detection and repair
-
Tap, toilet, and shower repairs/replacements

Pipework installation and maintenance
-
Unblocking sinks, baths, and drainage systems

Perform multi-trade tasks such as:

Basic carpentry (door repairs, boxing-in)
-
Minor tiling and patch plastering
-
Basic painting and decorating after repairs

Diagnose faults and identify the most effective repair solutions

Ensure all works are completed right first time

Maintain a clean, safe working environment in tenants’ homes

Provide excellent customer service when dealing with residents

Accurately complete job reports using PDA/mobile systems

Adhere to all health & safety and compliance regulations
Requirements
Essential:
-
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing (or proven experience)

Experience working in social housing or domestic maintenance
-
Strong multi-trade skills
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Ability to work independently and manage workload
-
Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable:

NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing
-
Experience with responsive/reactive maintenance contracts

Knowledge of social housing providers or contractors such as London Borough of Brent or partnering maintenance companies

Basic IT skills (for job management systems)
Working Hours

Monday to Friday (typically 8:00am – 5:00pm)

Overtime and call-out rota may be required
