Job Title: 2391 Electricians x 4 (Temp to Perm)

Job Purpose

To carry out electrical testing, inspection, and reactive maintenance works within social housing properties. This role involves ensuring all electrical systems are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent service to residents.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) in occupied and void properties

  • Carry out reactive electrical repairs, including fault finding and diagnostics

  • Complete remedial works following EICR reports

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components

  • Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations

  • Work efficiently across multiple sites within designated areas

  • Complete all certification and documentation accurately

  • Use PDA/mobile systems to log and update jobs

  • Deliver high standards of customer service in tenant homes

  • Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies


Requirements

Essential:

  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent (e.g., 2394/2395)

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

  • Proven experience in reactive maintenance or social housing

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload

Desirable:

  • Experience working on housing association/local authority contracts

  • Knowledge of compliance standards in social housing

  • Previous temp-to-perm or contract experience in maintenance roles


Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday (typically 8:00am – 5:00pm)

  • Overtime and optional call-out may be available
