QUANTITY SURVEYOR – SOCIAL HOUSING REFURBISHMENT

Location: Office-based with regular travel to sites
Pay: £300–£500 per day CIS, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time / Ongoing

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a busy construction team working on social housing refurbishment projects.

This is an office-based role with regular travel to sites required. The successful candidate will have experience in measuring and pricing works and be confident managing the commercial side of refurbishment projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Measuring works from drawings and on site
• Pricing refurbishment and repair works
• Preparing estimates and quotations
• Carrying out regular site visits
• Pricing variations and additional works
• Monitoring project costs and budgets
• Managing valuations and payment applications
• Working closely with site and contracts teams
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintaining accurate commercial records
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Assisting with final accounts

Requirements:

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within construction
• Experience working on refurbishment, maintenance or social housing projects
• Strong measuring and pricing experience
• Experience dealing with variations and additional works
• Good understanding of construction methods and materials
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites

The role offers competitive CIS rates depending on experience, ongoing work and the opportunity to work across a variety of social housing refurbishment projects.
