18 Rec is currently recruiting multiple experienced Multi Traders on behalf of a well-established contractor delivering kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes across social housing properties throughout South East and South West London.

We’re looking for reliable, customer-focused tradespeople with strong multi-trade experience who take pride in their work and are looking for a long-term opportunity.

The Role

You’ll be carrying out refurbishment, maintenance and improvement works within occupied and void social housing properties, including:

• Kitchen refurbishments and installations
• Bathroom and wet room refurbishments
• General property improvements
• Planned maintenance and refurbishment works
• Multi-trade repairs and finishing works
• General remedial and making-good works

We’re particularly interested in Multi Traders with a core trade in:

• Plumbing
• Carpentry
• Plastering
• Tiling
• Wet room installations
• Vinyl flooring, including wet room flooring

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card – Blue preferred
• Full UK Driving Licence – maximum 3 points
• DBS check completed or willingness to obtain one before starting
• Previous experience working within social housing
• Strong multi-trade experience
• Experience carrying out kitchen and bathroom refurbishments
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate – Essential
• NVQ in a relevant trade – desirable
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently

• From £180 per day CIS
• £200 per day CIS once working directly with the contractor
• Company van and fuel card provided
• Ongoing, long-term work
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
• Self-employed basis
• Once transferred directly, 6-monthly performance reviews, with the opportunity for a pay increase where performance and skill level warrant it
• Supportive team and opportunities for progression
• Regular reviews to ensure pay reflects skills, experience and performance

Location

Candidates must be based within a reasonable travelling distance of South London, Kent or Surrey, with work covering areas including:

Croydon | Twickenham | Wimbledon | Buckingham | South East London | South West London & surrounding areas
